An outfielder, he played in the Major Leagues from 1966–1971 for the Chicago White Sox and Washington Senators.〔http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/stroued01.shtml〕 Born in Lapine, Alabama on October 31, 1939, Stroud lived in Warren, Ohio for about 70 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Warren G. Following the conclusion of his active playing career, he was the Equal Opportunity Coordinator for the City of Warren until his retirement in 1998.
